Application checklist for degree-seeking international students
A complete international student application includes the following:

- Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
- Saint Augustine said, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” How has traveling impacted your education or how do you hope it will in the future?
- Why Centenary? What has made Centenary stand out to you amid your college search process.
- Original or certified copies of all high school or secondary school records and diplomas
- Any document not in English must be translated and evaluated by an international credentials evaluation service such as or
- Transfer students (students entering Centenary from another institution of higher learning) must also have an official college or university transcript sent directly from each college or university previously attended
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, college professor, or adviser
- Official test scores - official scores are those reported directly to Centenary by a testing agency at the request of the applicant
- Native English speakers: must submit official SAT I or ACT scores. Use SAT code 6082 and ACT code 1576 to submit your scores to Centenary.
- Non-native English speakers: if official SAT or ACT scores cannot be provided, students must submit official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or Duolingo English Test scores. Use TOEFL code 6082 and IELTS code 4650 to submit your scores to Centenary. The following scores are used as a minimum upon application review:
TOEFL - 79 (iBT)
IELTS - 6.0 (each area)
DuoLingo - 100 (160 scale)
- An applicant may request to waive the TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo requirement if he or she meets the following criteria:
- Successfully completed 30 transferable semester hours at a regionally accredited U.S. institution, including a minimum of six semester hours in English (excluding remedial English or English as a Second Language courses).
